This Is Us

Dr. Amy Walsh

Dr. Amy Walsh opened doctor direct to simplify healthCARE for her patients. Adopting the Direct Primary Care model allowed Dr. Walsh to focus on her patients’ needs without the burdens imposed by insurance companies. Her sole focus is to provide outstanding primary care to each of her patients.


Dr. Walsh is originally from Buffalo, NY.

She studied Kinesiology at the University of Michigan where she was a varsity gymnast before moving on to receive her MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Walsh then completed her residency training at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

She has been in practice in the Raleigh area for 25+ years and opened doctor direct in 2015.

Dr. Amy is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the NC Academy of Family Physicians and she serves on the Executive Committee of the Direct Primary Care Alliance.


She is happily married to Whitey, who also grew up in Buffalo, NY. They have 4 children and 3 energetic yellow labs to go along with them.

In her spare time she loves to run, workout and read. Dr. Walsh is also an avid college football and gymnastics fan.

You can often find her cheering for her favorite team, the University of Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue!

Dr. Soon Kwark

Dr. Soon Kwark has been in practice in the Raleigh area for over 30 years. She She was born in Korea, then established roots in the Louisiana bayou country. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and her medical degree from Louisiana State University, thus a forever Tiger fan. She completed her family practice residency at Ghent Family Practice in Norfolk ,Virginia where she served as chief resident.

She is board certified in family medicine and a member of both the American Academy of Family Physicians and the NC Academy of Family Physicians.


"Outside of work, my joy comes from seeing my grandson, exercising daily with hot yoga or taking hikes on the many nature trails in the area, playing piano and gardening.

I believe that an individual's well-being is composed of physical, emotional and mental parts all intertwined and equally important . To achieve the goal of a healthy and happy life, there has to be a strong doctor-patient relationship based on good communication. I feel my role is to educate and advise, nudge when needed and give kudos when deserved. "

Dr Sheena Coffey

Dr Sheena Coffey was born in Beaufort, SC and is the daughter of two retired Marines. She has lived in several states including TN, NY, CO and FL. She began her undergraduate studies at SUNY Brockport and completed her degree at Florida Atlantic University. She moved to NC to attend Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine where she earned her medical degree. She completed her Family Medicine residency in Dunn, NC at Harnett Health.

She is board certified in family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Direct Primary Care Alliance.

Dr Coffey is married and has one adorable son. She enjoys rock climbing, yoga, paddle boarding and hiking.


"I believe in the body's innate ability to heal itself when placed in the optimal supportive environment. I encourage dietary and lifestyle modification to help patients create those environments. I listen and truly hear patients concerns, fears, hopes and aspirations. Together we forge a path towards their healthiest life. I am passionate about helping patients prevent, improve and even reverse chronic medical conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. I look forward to caring for patients as if they were part of my own family."

Kim Price, LPN

Kim is was born and raised in Northern New York, but has called North Carolina home for over 26 years. She earned her LPN degree from Lenoir Community College. Most of her experience has been in primary care, with 15 years working alongside Dr. Kwark. She has been married for over 20 years and has 2 grown, almost flown, young adult children. She enjoys spending time with her family and paddle boarding with friends.

Amy Holliday, LPN

Amy is a North Carolina native who earned her LPN from Vance-Granville Community College. She has over 18 years of experience as a nurse, with 13 of those years in family practice. She is married with an ever growing family consisting of 3 children, 2 daughters-in-law and 1 grandson. Outside of the office, Amy enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
